The standard used in secular counseling to measure a the development of the person counseled is not permanent and varies throughout time. The morals and choices of a person is therefore not judged in secular counseling as it has no definite measure to evaluate such. In Christian counseling, a man’s nature, his or her marriage and family, his obstacles and a lot of things related to him or her can be addressed by the practical wisdom found in the Bible. Christian counseling has a fixed basis on which to measure the success of a person counseled while secular counseling does not provide for fixed terms.
