Ford to offer certified used cars for sale on Amazon Autos

Ford Motor Co. will offer certified pre-owned vehicles to Amazon Autos starting Nov. 17.

The Dearborn-based automaker said car buyers looking to purchase a used vehicle online can now go on Amazon Autos to shop, finance, purchase and schedule a pick-up of Ford Blue Advantage certified used cars from a participating Ford dealer.

Ford Blue Advantage certified pre-owned vehicles are only available on Amazon Autos in Los Angeles, Seattle and Dallas at launch, the automaker said. But Ford said it will expand to additional markets in the coming months.

Ford spokesman Said Deep did not have an estimate on when Detroit-area dealers would be participating, but he said, “It is voluntary program. We have more than 160 dealers across (the) country who have shown interest and have started the process with Amazon. And we have dealers in Michigan who have already raised their hand. As Amazon expands to additional markets, we expect to see more dealers show interest in the program.”

The automaker said by streamlining the initial shopping and financing steps with Amazon Autos, it frees up time at the dealership, allowing dealers to focus on building the in-person experience.

“We are excited to support our dealers in launching Ford Blue Advantage vehicles on Amazon Autos,” Robert Kaffl, executive director, Ford U.S. Sales and Dealer Relations, said in a statement. “Amazon Autos allows Ford Dealers to offer their certified pre-owned vehicles through Amazon’s accessible digital platform, while maintaining  the benefits that customers enjoy from their relationships of our Ford dealers.”

Amazon Autos launched with sales of new Hyundai vehicles in December 2024. It has dealers participating in more than 130 cities across the United States. In August 2025, Amazon Autos announced it would expand its service to include used and certified pre-owned vehicles from various brands.

“The addition of Ford certified pre-owned vehicles to Amazon Autos represents an exciting expansion of our store, giving customers access to thousands of quality vehicles backed by Ford’s comprehensive inspection and warranty programs,” Fan Jin, global leader of Amazon Autos, said in a statement. “By working with exceptional Ford dealers who share our commitment to customer service, we’re creating a car buying experience that combines trusted vehicle certification with the convenience Amazon is known for. “

How Amazon Autos works

The Amazon Autos storefront at www.amazon.com/amazon-autos will connect customers with participating Ford dealers across the country.

Ford said customers can browse a participating Ford dealer’s Ford Blue Advantage certified pre-owned inventory within a 75-mile radius of their home. They can search certified pre-owned vehicles by make, model, year and color.

Each listing will include the price, vehicle history, and specifications, allowing customers to comparison shop from their computer or smart phone.

Once a customer decides on a used vehicle, they may be eligible to secure financing, start paperwork, and schedule a pickup time at their participating local Ford dealer.

The levels of certification

All Ford Blue Advantage certified pre-owned vehicles come with a manufacturer-backed limited warranty, with the coverage depending on the certification type.

Ford offers three certification types:

  • Gold Certified: These vehicles undergo a 172-point inspection, with a 12-month/12,000-mile (whichever comes first) limited warranty covering more than 1,000 components.

  • EV Certified: Electric vehicles receive a 127-point inspection, with the same warranty coverage as Gold Certified.

  • Blue Certified: These vehicles, which may include Ford and other brands, come with a 90 day/4,000-mile (whichever comes first) limited warranty.

Each tier comes with roadside assistance.

Ford said all Blue Advantage certified used cars sold on Amazon Autos undergo a thorough inspection and come with a 14-day/1,000-mile money back guarantee through Ford Blue Advantage if all eligibility requirements are met. Customers can view service history and condition reports, too.
