Mahindra XUV Aero – Aggressively Designed & Build

The Mahindra XUV Aero sports an aggressive design, which looks inspired from the XUV 500. As the name suggests, Aero portrays an aerodynamic design. The concept unitn showcased has a bold front fascia, similar to the one on the XUV 500. While on the side, it has sloping roof line for a coupe-like design. The concept unit also had suicide doors, which isn’t expected on the production version. On the rear, the XUV Aero gets high-placed tail lights and a sport tailgate design which looks inspired from Ford Mustang.

The M&M Aero’s design is conceptualized and born in Mahindra’s design studio in Mumbai. And the dynamic and sporty design clearly states that the Mahindra designers have left no stones unturned while conceptualizing and designing this SUV.

The Interiors & Features

On the inside, the concept unit had a dashboard based on the one on the XUV 500. It gets a large vertical touch-screen display like the ones on Volvo and Tesla cars. It also gets a newly designed flat bottom steering wheel and an informative digital instrument cluster. However, a lot of changes are expected on the production variant of this SUV.

Matching with the latest trends, we can surely expect that the final production unit of Mahindra XUV Aero will also get touch-screen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. Also, we can expect a bunch of safety features like side and curtain airbags, pre-tensioner seat belts, ABS with EBD and a lot more.

However, the concept unit showcased was powered by Mahindra’s very own twin-turbo 2.2-litre mHAWK Diesel engine that can touch the mark of 100km/h in just 10 seconds. The production unit may have an upgraded version of this engine which can produce a maximum power of 170PS and 360NM of maximum torque.

Some reports also claim that Mahindra is working on a powerful all-electric XUV Aero, which is going to be Mahindra’s best offering in its existing EV range.
