The self-guided Ivywild Garden Art Toure 2024 is a perfect time to experience the sometimes quirky art and the tree-lined gardens, a benefit for art programs. A veggie/pollinator garden, secret water garden, the late artist Charles Rockey watching over the little free library from a tree and more. 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Saturday, starting at Millibo Art Theatre, 1626 S. Three days of ink experiences, competitions, celebrities from Ink Master and entertainment at the Seventh Annual Denver Tattoo Arts Festival Friday-Sunday. Are you and your buds ready for a rough-tough endurance weekend? It’s the Tough Mudder event series for the community and military at Fort Carson Training Areas 2 and 4 and a test of “physical strength, mental grit, and aptitude for camaraderie.” For ages 14+, there’s running, obstacles and an Infinity challenge. Opening weekend for the summer Bright Nights Tianyu festival “art by day and magic by night” at Four Mile Historic Park. Interactive, large lantern-lighted art; mythical creatures; a crystal forest, home to unicorns; Colorado wildlife; wildflowers and other pretty things.
